Hi there! I’m a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner here to help you through whatever you're going through. I specialize in working with young adults like yourself who are navigating tough feelings like anxiety, depression, or the aftermath of trauma. Whether it’s overwhelming stress, a constant low mood, or feeling stuck after a difficult experience, I’m here to listen and support you in a way that feels right for you. I know life can be complicated, and sometimes, it feels too much to handle alone. My role is to offer a safe space where you can share your story, be heard, and explore your options—whether that means therapy, medication, or a combination of both. I understand that medication isn’t always an easy step to take, and I’m happy to talk through any concerns you might have. I strive to find a treatment plan that works for you on your terms. In my experience in both therapy and medication management, I’ve seen how small changes can lead to meaningful progress. I believe in your ability to grow and improve, and I’m here to help you recognize that, too. If you’re ready to take that step, I’d love to be part of your journey. I’m here to support you, and together, we can figure out the next steps toward feeling better.

For as long as I can remember, I was the person who pushed through. I was the one who performed, produced, and held everything together even when life was falling apart behind the scenes. As a first-generation Asian American who built a career and became the family anchor long before I felt ready, I know how easy it is to confuse survival mode with strength. That lived experience shapes how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, real, and attuned to the pressures you don’t always say out loud. I work with high-achieving young adults who look fine from the outside but feel exhausted on the inside. Specifically, I work with students who are juggling deadlines, family expectations, identity questions, burnout, loneliness, and the quiet fear that if they slow down, everything might fall apart. My style is steady and collaborative. I help you untangle the pressure, understand what’s actually driving your stress, and build a version of self-trust that doesn’t depend on perfection. You get a space where you can be honest, drop the mask, and finally talk about the things you usually keep to yourself. If you’re a student who’s tired of pretending you “should be fine,” therapy can be a place where you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to hide how overwhelmed you are or figure everything out alone. If you’re ready to feel like yourself again (not the polished version, but the real one), I’d be glad to support you. Reach out today to create a life you can breathe in, not just push through!

My approach is an integration of psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral modalities, which means I will explore the way you experienced the world from birth until present in order to identify habits and behaviors that have become roadblocks to living in alignment with the person you want to be.

Many clients come to me because they're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. You might be navigating anxiety, depression, or burnout. Maybe you're grieving, going through a major life change, or feeling disconnected from who you are. Some clients come in unsure about whether medication is right for them or want to revisit their current regimen. I provide telehealth psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy for adults in New York and New Jersey. My work is grounded in trauma-informed psychiatric care. That means I approach mental health with the understanding that many symptoms are rooted in past experiences, often as adaptations to painful or overwhelming events. Instead of pathologizing, we explore the "why" behind what you're feeling and work to develop coping strategies that foster clarity, regulation, and direction. In sessions, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps reframe unhelpful thought patterns, and motivational interviewing, which supports change by aligning treatment with your personal goals and values. When medication is appropriate, I work collaboratively and thoughtfully to ensure it fits your needs, not the other way around. I work with adults of all ages, including high-functioning professionals and young adults navigating perfectionism, performance anxiety, or identity shifts. I also have experience supporting individuals with complex trauma histories, including veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community, during difficult transitions. Whether you're newly exploring mental health care or coming back after a tough experience with previous providers, I aim to meet you with warmth, flexibility, and compassion. My approach is deeply relational. I value creating a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and empowering, especially if care has ever felt cold, transactional, or rigid to you. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. I'll meet you where you are, and we'll go from there. What drew me to this work is the privilege of helping people connect the dots between their past and present, seeing those moments of insight lead to real, lasting change. It's incredibly meaningful to support someone in building a life that feels more aligned and sustainable. Outside of work, I find grounding in time with my family and moments of quiet reflection. My self-care is about balance, whether through music, movement, or simply being present. I try to practice what I encourage in my patients: self-compassion, boundaries, and space to just be. If you're ready to start, or even just considering it, I'd be honored to be part of your care. You can begin by scheduling an initial consultation to talk through your needs and goals. You don't have to do this alone.

Life is hard. It’s a tricky thing that presents us with so many unique challenges and difficulties. Whether you're feeling stuck, alone or ready for change, I want to work with you to build a better life and become a better version of yourself. As a mental health counselor with five years of experience, I work with young adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship distress, life transitions, and identity issues. My mission is to help you discover and embody your best self while processing distressing situations. Oftentimes we find that we have difficulty figuring out how to work through our challenges, much less identifying them at all, so I walk alongside you to explore the root of the issue in order to find an effective and sustainable solution. Working with both couples and individuals to find healing, I approach my role as being a safe space for you to express yourself without fear of judgement, collaborating with you to find and work toward becoming the best version of yourself. To this end, therapy is centered on you and who you are, as you are the ultimate expert on who you are at your core.
