I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who seeks to provide a safe and protected space that allows individuals to engage on a journey of emotional, psychological and spiritual exploration. I use a combination of mind-body approaches including mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). hypnotherapy, dream work, shamanic healing practices and energy work to help people identify and alter beliefs, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, judgments, and painful memories that stand in the way of living one's life. This work allows wounds to heal, helps a person break free from the destructive and unhealthy patterns and moves the person toward a greater sense of emotional and spiritual well-being. I use this bio-psycho-spiritual approach to address the body, mind, and spiritual aspects of a problem and to provide a way for individuals to discover and heal the root causes or those sensitizing events that are often contributing to or fueling the current problems. This encourages the potential for a more whole and integrated person to emerge.

Hello, My philosophy is that change is hard and that nothing changes if nothing changes; meaning if we want different results in life, we have to change what we do on a daily basis, including what we think about! I am a strengths based, honest, caring therapist who is honored and glad to walk with you during the uncomfortable parts of this change process to help get you where you’d like to be.

My approach to therapy comes from a space of empathy, compassion, and absolutely zero judgement. My goal for every individual is to help them experience a positive change. I utilize a strengths based approach to encourage my clients to tap into their own strengths and resources while also meeting them where they are at in their personal therapeutic journey. I became interested in therapy due to my own personal struggles with addiction and with 11 years of sobriety, I hope to help others. My goal is for my clients to get something out of the work we do together and for it to be worthwhile and beneficial for them. I work alongside my clients to help them reach their goals while appreciating and celebrating their strengths. I have a laid back approach which includes colorful language, an odd sense of humor, and finding a balance to push you outside of your comfort zone to accomplish your goals. I hope to create a safe space for my clients to be themselves and for me to help them process life's tough challenges and celebrate the victories.

I truly believe that choosing to prioritize your own or your child’s mental health is one of the bravest and most meaningful decisions a person or parent can make. Whether you are reaching out for yourself at any stage of life or seeking support for your teenager, committing to healing and personal growth can feel overwhelming. Even finding the right therapist can feel like a daunting first hurdle. I am genuinely glad you are here and taking this step. Opening up to someone new is not easy. When beginning therapy for teens, it can feel especially intimidating to trust someone with their thoughts and emotions. For parents, it can be painful and confusing to watch your child struggle and not know how to “fix” it. Further, with adults of any age, it can be just as challenging to slow down, reflect, and allow yourself the space to be supported, or even to admit that you are struggling in the first place. I strive to create a confidential, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel safe enough to be yourself, explore your experiences, and begin meaningful healing. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Concerns may include anxiety (such as generalized anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, or phobias), depression and mood disorders, personality disorders, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, OCD, and challenges related to life transitions. With teens specifically, I have a passion for supporting concerns such as school avoidance, academic pressure, peer relationships, bullying, identity exploration, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, and family conflict. I also work with more complex concerns, including self-harm, suicidal thoughts, substance use, eating disorders, and behavioral challenges. For adults, therapy may focus on stress, burnout, relationship concerns, career or life transitions, parenting challenges, unresolved trauma, or patterns that are no longer serving you. Many adults also seek therapy to better understand themselves, improve emotional awareness, and create more meaningful, values-driven lives. I earned my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis, where I also completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. My training included supervised clinical experiences across a variety of settings and ages, including private practice, residential treatment, a therapeutic day school, and juvenile justice systems. During my predoctoral internship, I received intensive training working with youth and families involved in complex systems of care, and collaborated closely with schools, probation, and child welfare agencies. My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities that are tailored to each individual’s specific needs. In our first sessions, we will discuss current difficulties, collaborate on goals, and determine the best approach for you or your child. My goal is to meet you where you are. For teens, this often means building trust at their own pace and helping them develop practical coping skills and emotional insight. For parents, it may involve collaboration, guidance, and tools to strengthen connection and communication at home. For adults, it may look like exploring patterns, building resilience, and working toward lasting, meaningful change. I am not what we psychologists call a “blank slate” therapist, and I will enthusiastically support you, celebrate you, and laugh with you, while also holding space for the difficult topics and why you came to therapy in the first place. No matter where you or your family are starting, you don’t have to navigate it alone. If you feel that I may be a good fit for you or your child, I welcome you to reach out.

We all need someone to talk to at times, and I have dedicated my career to being that person for others. As a LCSW, I have over 6 years of experience. I enjoy working with teens and young adults to help with problems adjusting to life’s changes, relationship issues, unhealthy boundaries with family, friends and/or others, and poor self-esteem and self-worth. One of my aims is to build a compassionate and relaxed environment for clients to open up and collaborate to realize and accomplish goals. A large part of my practice has been in the treatment of grief and loss, trauma and healing, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. We will work using different techniques such as, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I like to build on strengths that patients already possess but may not see. My style is laid back and client centered. I have a strong sense of compassion and commitment to helping others and understand that, for some, beginning counseling may be a difficult decision. I will meet you where you are to get you where you want to be. Let’s work together to improve life and start thriving!

Whether you're dealing with social anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship issues, burnout, or school stress, we'll build tools that will work specifically for you. Even though whatever hurdle you are trying to overcome may seem impossible, part of you knows something needs to change. Choosing to complete higher education is not only stressful, it's confusing. It's the first time you're dipping your toe into adulthood, and having to navigate the world on your own for the first time. Your mental health is the most important thing to maintain while in school. I, too, had to have my own therapist throughout my 6 years of university, so don't think you're the only one. Depression, anxiety, relational issues, making friends, meeting deadlines for your homework: the list of struggles goes on and on. You don't have to hold it in and carry it alone. Let's work on making you the best version of yourself while you pursue carving out an amazing life for yourself.

Hi there, I'm Briana and I am a licensed clinical social worker and therapist in the state of Indiana. Wondering if we are the right fit? Ask yourself these questions. Do you feel spread too thin, like ice on the verge of breaking? Do you feel like you have to "do it all," which leaves you overwhelmed and stressed? Are your relationships, responsibilities, or feelings being put on the back burner? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? Sometimes, do you feel like you just want to run away? If you answered yes to any of these, we might be a good fit. I help many clients with these types of challenges. I approach my work with compassion and with an understanding that many people have underlying experiences with trauma and unmet childhood needs, which we will make space for processing in our sessions. Together, we will work to reduce your inner critic by seeking an understanding of all aspects of yourself, including the painful parts. We will work to discover why they exist and how you can regain control over your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, all while building on your current strengths and resilience. I empower young people and adults to develop the strengths and tools they already have within themselves to address the stressors of life. Together, we will look at the whole picture to identify what you can change, what you can let go of, and what you can move forward with. Seeking help can feel scary, but you are in the right place. This is a safe space to explore your needs and wants, so you can become the best version of yourself. Whether you are coming here with general overwhelm, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, mood swings, attention deficits, or relationship challenges, I'm here to help.
