Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
Cynthia Jordan, LMFT
Therapy is a courageous act that requires vulnerability, authenticity, and an openness to self-discovery. I have worked with students for over 20 years. I understand the compounding social, academic, financial, and relationship challenges students face. I have supported students experiencing generalized and academic anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, depression, chronic and acute medical conditions, life adjustments, roommate conflict, stress and time management difficulties, grief and loss, and trauma. I have experience working with students who have experienced sudden grief and loss, traumatic break-ups, and psychological, physical, and sexual abuse. I am committed to supporting individuals heal from their traumatic experiences and allowing their vulnerable selves to feel seen. I have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA2+ students who are experiencing discrimination, marginalization, dismissal, and systemic aggressions. I will work to help you identify patterns that are keeping you stuck, stagnant, and from reaching your full potential. If you are ready to begin this process I look forward to connecting with you. I have completed trainings and hold certifications in EMDR, ACT, DBT, CBT, Mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices.
Adonai Health and Wellness LLC
Welcome! I’m Rose Adonis, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I understand that college can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be trying to manage academic pressure, relationships, work, family expectations, and major life changes while quietly struggling with anxiety, depression, difficulty focusing, low motivation, or emotional exhaustion. I work best with students who want a supportive and nonjudgmental space where they can be honest about what they are experiencing. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Together, we will discuss your concerns, identify your goals, and create a treatment plan that fits your individual needs. When appropriate, care may include medication management, practical coping strategies, and collaboration with a therapist or other healthcare professionals. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and more confident in managing your mental health so you can thrive both academically and personally. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey.
BCBTherapy
BCB Therapy began in 2004. Each therapist carries a caseload they can actually hold in mind, and clients see the same person every week, not whoever happens to be free. The team works with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship struggles, disordered eating, insomnia, and ADHD. Alongside talk therapy the practice offers EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, DBT, DBR, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Sessions happen two ways: in person at the office on SW Columbia Street in Bend, or by secure video anywhere in Oregon. Clients in Portland, Salem, Eugene, and Medford, and in small towns with no therapist for fifty miles, get the same clinicians and the same care. The practice is in network with PacificSource, Providence, Regence, BlueCross BlueShield, First Choice Health, and the Oregon Health Plan.
Andrew Bertell
How I work: I'm a licensed clinical social worker and psychoanalytic psychotherapist, in practice for over 15 years. Licensed in Oregon, Maryland and New York. In person in Ashland, Oregon, and by video elsewhere. People come to me with anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, relationship difficulty, and the harder transitions of a life, though we rarely stay at the level of the label for long. My training is psychoanalytic - relational, modern, contemporary - but in practice I'm more interested in you than in applying any of it to you. Together we explore what matters, what repeats, what gets avoided, what happens between us. You come to know what's best. That stays with you everywhere. I also work as a thought partner. Some people come to me not for conventional therapy but for sustained, confidential attention to something they're working through: a decision, a project, a difficult question, a piece of writing, a leadership puzzle. The structure is different; the kind of attention to complexity is the same. Some call this coaching. I think of it as the same depth of attention, pointed at something distinct you're working at. Who I am Trained at the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies and the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis, with additional study in somatic and contemplative approaches. Outside the office, I serve on the board of the Ashland Independent Film Festival.

Grace Wallingford
Hey there! I’m Grace, a Registered Dietitian based in Portland, OR, passionate about helping you feel your best through personalized, sustainable nutrition. My journey into nutrition began with my own experience. During my senior year of high school, I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and after working with a dietitian and making changes to my diet, I experienced a powerful shift in my energy, mood, and overall well-being. That experience showed me firsthand just how impactful nutrition can be—and ultimately inspired me to pursue this field. Through both my personal and professional journey, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how chronic health conditions can affect nutritional status and day-to-day life. I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating chronic conditions, helping them build confidence and find strategies that feel manageable, realistic, and sustainable long term. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and empowering. Together, we’ll create a space where you can learn, grow, and build the skills needed to make lasting changes. I believe nutrition therapy should feel approachable and individualized, and I’m here to help you develop tools that support your health in a way that fits your life. When I’m not working with clients, you can find me hiking, baking (I’m currently working on perfecting my banana bread recipe), spending time at my local coffee shop, or soaking up the sun whenever I can. I’m so excited to work with you and support you on your journey! Ready to start? Book a visit directly at https://diabetesdigital.co/start.

Green Sheep Art Therapy LLC
At Green Sheep, we believe in making therapy a space for creative experimentation, playfulness, and gratifying personal expansion. Practicing from an integrative feminist, strength-based, existential perspective, we affirm that every person is capable of utilizing and building upon their strengths and resources. I am particularly passionate about working with trans and LGB+ individuals, partners, and families, but am welcoming of all genders and all sexuality presentations. I work with teens, adults, pre-teens, partners/relationships, families, and groups. I work with a range of people, and enjoy working with those who have experienced family conflict or estrangement, dissociative disorders, anxiety, depression, body image issues, gender dysphoria, body dysmorphia, religious trauma, sexual trauma, medical trauma, or involvement in cults. As a counselor, I integrate various modalities into treatment based on client needs, including art therapy, relational cultural therapy, existential therapy, internal family systems, constructivist theories, and narrative therapy. Emphasizing parts work, my focus is on developing the inner healing intelligence that exists within each individual. Art therapy serves as a powerful tool in this journey, helping clients recognize, access, and connect with their inner healing intelligence through artistic expression. Whether you have prior art experience or not, art therapy is a tangible reminder of progress and aids in letting go of emotional burdens, facilitating positive and lasting change. We can decide together whether we might use art in our sessions together, and how it might be used. By learning new skills as well leaning on your inner healing intelligence, you can achieve deeper self-understanding, manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma, assert boundaries, and enhance self-image. Developing your authentic self becomes a powerful remedy for various emotional struggles, enabling a more balanced and fulfilling life. I am unable to accept insurance at this time, though I do help with billing out of network for those that have this option on their plan. M. Bonacci Therapy
I provide individual therapy to people ages 18 and up. I specialize in working with queer and trans people, pot-stirrers, and outsiders. I enjoy working with people who are confronting major identity shifts, people who are navigating issues with their families of origin, and people who are trying to envision a future they never imagined themselves in (What is middle age? What is aging in queer spaces? How can I live meaningfully in late stage capitalism?).
Dr Michelle Block
I work with people around adult adhd and anxiety. I also focus on women’s reproductive health, often related to fertility, planned and unplanned pregnancy and the transition to motherhood. I meet with clients online or in NE Portland in person.

Feeling foggy or like you're in a dream (in a bad way)? Feeling detached from your body or your joy? At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, I'm passionate about helping clients feel more present, embodied, and connected whether they're experiencing grief, dissociation (depersonalization or derealization), or burn out. I work best with folks who are motivated to put in work inside and outside of session in order to inch closer to change. There is so much to grieve in the world right now but I'll be alongside you to sit in the messy feelings and cheer on your wins. I use experiential (creative) and somatic (body-focused) techniques for additional ways of processing grief, loss, or disconnection. Experientially, we might write, make art, use music, or create a tangible coping tool you can use. Somatically, this might mean grounding exercises, movement, guided visualizations, or just pausing and noticing the body. Your healing process is important and I don’t believe in taking away coping mechanisms that have allowed you to survive until now. Instead, the idea is to explore different options to help you sift through complicated situations or feelings and help you evaluate what's no longer serving you. Reach out if we might be a good fit. I'd love to hear from you!
