My name is Savi and I’m a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. I have a particular interest in working with students as much of my clinical experience is in working with people in their teens and early 20’s who are going through the big life changes that happen at these times. There is so much to navigate during this time in life with academic demands, becoming more independent from our families, and starting new relationships. There are many reasons we are drawn to start therapy, but I find it is often because we are struggling with difficult feelings related to these things that we may not understand and don’t know how to get rid of. I think it’s important that you have a safe place to talk about these feelings and for us to begin to understand what is underneath them.
I’ve always thought that the most beautiful and interesting trees in the forest are the ones that grow into unique forms, shaped by their environment but finding a way to adapt and thrive. Similarly, life’s challenges can shape us in profound ways, but they can also leave us feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or stuck. I’m Rob Gooding, a second-year graduate student at St. Bonaventure University studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate these challenges and uncover their inner resilience to live fulfilling and authentic lives. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for growth and healing. To me, it’s a privilege to walk alongside clients as they share their stories and embark on their journey toward self-discovery and empowerment. My approach is grounded in person-centered principles, recognizing that you are the expert in your own life. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. By integrating evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Solution-Focused Therapy, I work with clients to reframe negative thought patterns, develop practical skills, and prioritize their needs. Together, we’ll build tools to navigate challenges with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, academic pressures, identity exploration, or life transitions, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to help you rediscover your strengths, adapt to life’s demands, and create meaningful change. Just like those unique trees in the forest, your story is one of resilience and growth – and it would be an honor to support you on your path. Robert Gooding is a therapist in-training at Sol Health. College can break you in quiet ways. Maybe you’re burnt out but still grinding. Anxious but still pretending. You can’t focus, you can’t sleep, you can’t talk about it without feeling like you’re being too much—or not enough. You’re not lazy. You’re not crazy. You’re just overwhelmed, and no one taught you how to deal with it. This is where that changes. Dr. Al-Katib works with college students who are overthinking everything, underperforming despite trying, and getting swallowed by pressure—academic, emotional, social, or all of the above. He helps with ADHD, anxiety, panic, burnout, identity, emotional numbness, and everything else that comes with growing up in chaos. His style is straightforward, respectful, and never sugarcoated. You’ll get strategy, clarity, and support that actually helps you move—not just talk about it. You don’t have to be falling apart to ask for help. But if you are—good. You’ve already taken the first step.

Adolescence and adulthood can be exciting and overwhelming. Navigating academic pressures, identity exploration, relationship challenges, or major life transitions can be daunting to tackle on your own. I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families as they face anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and the stress of achievement and belonging. My experience working as an assistant dean of admission at Princeton University, coupled with my counseling experience at Princeton’s counseling and psychological center, and working in an independent K-12 school, has informed my deep understanding of the pressures students and families face in academic, social, and developmental spaces. In therapy, we’ll explore moments of vulnerability and discomfort that can contribute to self-doubt and isolation. I work collaboratively with individuals and families to uncover ways to strengthen communication and bring clarity to relational dynamics. My goal is to create an affirming space rooted in empathy and cultural humility, where you develop tools towards empowerment and rediscover your authentic self. I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach, grounded in person-centered, culturally responsive, and strength-based care. I draw from CBT with a multicultural and feminist lens, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be navigating their gender and sexuality, cultural, and intersectional identities. Whether you're exploring therapy for the first time or continuing your journey, I am committed to making mental health care approachable and welcoming for everyone.
I believe that each person wants to find fulfillment in life, and that through the therapeutic relationship, we can work together to achieve this goal. In today's world, there are so many pressures and obstacles that people face on a daily basis. I work to help people identify the factors that affect their lives, assist them in gaining insight into the causes of their problems, and develop real-life solutions to address problematic issues. I use techniques from various types of therapy to achieve this. I work to help people identify their strengths in order to increase resiliency and autonomy and develop growing self-respect. I specialize in treating couples, college students and young professionals, and individuals with borderline personality disorder. I have extensive training in emotionally-focused couples therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy, and I draw from these approaches to best treat each unique person and couple. Perhaps more than any other part of therapy or specific technique, I believe that my empathy, genuine care, and desire to help people are my greatest assets. I devote myself completely to my work and to the people I treat, and strive to make treatment as effective and meaningful as possible, with the continuous goal of creating progress in people's lives.
Do you feel like you're taking care of everyone else in your life? Maybe it's time to work with someone who can hold space for you. Therapy is most effective when clients feel safe and seen. Because of this, I aim to create an accepting, non-judgmental, and inclusive space for you to be your true self. I work with a range of clients who feel stuck, lost, unmotivated, or anxious, and I specialize in helping clients navigate major life changes (including quarter-life crises), work through imposter syndrome, and engage in self-exploration. As a former educator, college counselor, and therapist in a college wellness center, I am well-versed in how challenging the transition to college can be. Whether you are working towards your bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree, managing competing priorities can be challenging and incredibly stressful. My aim is to help you start feeling more like yourself.
My name is Daniel, and I am a first year master's student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Queens College. I earned a BA with a double major in Psychology and Religion from Vassar College. In therapy, my focus is on fostering an environment of collaboration, authenticity, and self-exploration. I incorporate a variety of techniques grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, existential therapy, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (M-CBT). Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you—your values, your needs, and your goals—and work to develop strategies that align with your unique path. Whether we are addressing emotional regulation, relationship challenges, or existential questions, my aim is to help you cultivate skills and insights that enhance your resilience and day-to-day functioning. My therapeutic approach is both integrative and individualized, drawing from evidence-based practices tailored to your needs. In an ACT framework, we might explore how to embrace and coexist with challenging emotions while aligning actions with your core values. From a person-centered lens, I prioritize empathy, unconditional positive regard, and creating a nonjudgmental space for your growth. Through existential therapy, we can dive into deep questions of meaning, purpose, and identity. Additionally, mindfulness techniques may help you ground yourself in the present moment and reduce the impact of distressing thoughts. For me, therapy is more than a profession; it is a collaborative and deeply human journey, a journey that I would be honored to undertake with you.
