Central to my client care philosophy is the belief in providing a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges. Each client interaction is approached with sensitivity, respect, and a genuine desire to understand their unique needs and experiences. By building a strong therapeutic alliance, I collaborate with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their specific concerns and work towards meaningful and sustainable growth. I specialize in relationship issues, breakups, and complex trauma processing, and I work with adult individuals and couples. Folks who struggle with boundaries, expressing needs, avoidance, anxiety, or managing conflict find our work rewarding. I'm especially passionate about supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and highly sensitive folks. I help clients process distress, foster meaningful connections, and build resiliency. I’m a humanistic, strengths-based therapist, which means I believe that you already have what you need within you to thrive. We'll work together to heal past wounds and uncover the authentic self that lies beneath. I'm trauma-informed and attachment-oriented, and often use IFS and EFT interventions. I focus on creating experiences in session where you can connect to your body, emotions, and parts of yourself you’ve kept hidden, even from yourself. If you’re journeying as a couple, this may look like learning to connect in more vulnerable ways. Reaching out to a new therapist can feel daunting, and I get how important it is to find someone who feels right for you. I’m here to help you figure out what you really need and how we can make that happen together. I’m excited to meet you and help you find the trust, confidence, and peace of mind you deserve.

I serve a diverse range of clients with mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and relational issues. I also actively practice LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and am currently receiving training to become a WPATH Certified Gender Specialist to better serve the transgender, non-binary, and gender queer communities. I tend to meet my clients where they are based on their past personal, cultural, and societal experiences. The client and I work on cultivating mutual empathy and respect through the counselor-client relationship, developing resiliency, and acknowledging and validating cultural and societal challenges. I am here to help anyone who is struggling with current challenges in their lives, no matter how big or small they may seem. Although our past tends to dictate where we currently are in the present, we can work together in order to change the outcome of the future.

Many of the clients I work with are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, life transitions, difficulty establishing boundaries, or challenges in coping with emotions. My approach to therapy places emphasis on the relationship between client and therapist; allowing the client to guide sessions in the direction that is most relevant and meaningful. In addition, I utilize techniques and skills drawn from Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT), in order to tailor session to the uniqueness of the client and their life experiences. Have you recently experienced trauma or struggling with past trauma? I provide trauma-informed therapy in a way that is warm and engaging. Are you stumbling through the relentless bs of the last few years? Perhaps current events reopened old wounds or crushed you with crippling anxiety. I work with clients who are distressed, in pain, and ready for relief - who go between feeling incredibly tense or just numb. I treat different types of trauma with a focus on complex childhood trauma. Together, we'll identify the source of your pain and find ways to help you heal so that you can feel and function better. Often that looks like improved relationships, a calm mind, relaxed body, and a clearer vision about what you want to accomplish moving forward.
