New England Counseling and Consulting
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or hopeless? Emotions running wild? Past traumas haunting your present? As a trained therapist, I specialize in addressing underlying issues swiftly. With warmth and empathy, I'll create a safe space for you to overcome these struggles and transition from simply surviving to thriving. As a therapist, I act as an emotional support, teacher, and guide on the client’s journey so they gain the skills, insight, and confidence they need. I firmly believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal from whatever they have experienced in life. I am trained in EMDR which is a powerful therapy technique that can facilitate the reprocessing of traumatic or negative experiences. It reduces emotional distress and promotes healing, leading to improved emotional well-being and a greater sense of empowerment. I am also trained in IFS, which is a transformative therapy approach that helps individuals understand their emotional struggles. It views the mind as a system of different parts, each with its own unique role and purpose. By fostering self-awareness and compassion, IFS allows individuals to develop a harmonious relationship with their internal parts leading to increased self-acceptance, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of wholeness and inner peace.

Inevitably, life presents difficulties, and can be challenging for many different reasons. Sometimes the things that bring people to therapy are very specific: perhaps a major life transition has become overwhelming, or certain patterns within a relationship are starting to take a toll. Pressures in some particular setting, whether it is at school, at work, or at home, may be feeling too difficult to navigate alone. Other times, people come to therapy a little less certain, feeling confused and unsure about where their life is headed, wanting something more. It’s not always easy to answer the question, “What brings you here?” People tend to doubt their inner strengths, and don’t quite realize how many resources they in fact possess. I have found that, though conversation with a trusted person, people can more easily identify and then build on those strengths. In my work with children, we often talk about expanding their “toolbox,” so that they have the skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and navigate complicated social situations. With teenagers and young adults, we often find ourselves talking about questions of identity development - the process of learning about who we are, how we got there, and what we want for ourselves moving forward. I see growth and development as a lifetime process, and, in my work with adults, we address all these issues in increasingly varied and complex ways, while also working together to navigate complex challenges presented by a world that can be arbitrary and unfair. My past experiences, doing individual and family therapy with people of all ages, of diverse backgrounds, and difficult, sometimes traumatic histories and life circumstances, have engendered within me a core belief that with the right support and collaboration, it is possible to make meaningful and long-lasting changes.
Chi Lee
Chi is all about helping you feel more present in your life. With a fusion of cognitive-behavioral therapy, talk therapy, and Eastern philosophies, Chi brings a fresh perspective to help you. Imagine feeling more present, less stressed, and in tune with your mind, body, and spirit. That's Chi's mission – to empower you to thrive holistically. Whether you're dealing with stress, anxiety, depression or just need someone to talk to, Chi is your ally, dedicated to co-creating positive changes that resonate with you. A typical session begins with a brief check-in; we then proceed to engage in mindfulness or somatic-centered exercises designed to enhance coping skills. Toward the end of the session, we integrate these skills, empowering you to overcome distress and feel more present in your daily life. My journey started unexpectedly one day by chance or fate when I stumbled upon a book on Eastern philosophy and mindfulness while browsing through a thrift store. It was a serendipitous moment that introduced me to mindfulness and its potential to improve well-being. Intrigued by what I read, I found myself drawn into the practice of mindfulness. This newfound passion eventually inspired me to pursue a master's degree in counseling, setting me on the path I'm on today. I strive to create an open and safe environment for collaboration and exploration with my clients. My approach is anti-oppressive and I celebrate each individual's expression of identity and cultural differences.
Bill Munze / Aspire Counseling
College is a time of transition where we learn not only about academics, but about who we are and how to navigate the myriad challenges of life. It is both exciting and stressful, fun and scary. And when we struggle with added anxiety, depression, traumas, relationship difficulties, and more it can make the whole experience feel overwhelming. I specialize in helping college students to cope with these challenges so they can thrive in school, work, and everyday life. You may be finding it hard to keep up with classes, feeling disconnected from friends, or questioning whether you are on the right path. We can look together at what is making things difficult and how different parts of your life affect one another. There is room to talk about family expectations, relationships, identity, and the pressure to figure out what comes next. Our work can address what you are facing this week while also helping you understand patterns that keep getting in your way. We might explore why a disappointing grade leaves you questioning your abilities, how pressure to fit in affects your friendships and choices, or what makes choosing a major or career feel so overwhelming. There is also room for the broader question of “Who am I?”—what matters to you, where you feel you belong, and how to find your own direction amid expectations from family, friends, and yourself. My practice is now fully telehealth, giving clients maximum flexibility for scheduling and convenience.

The best mental health care occurs when the patient's needs are prioritized and deeply integrated into the treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts, phobias, learning difficulties, physical symptoms tied to mental health, depression, grief, or feeling like a dark cloud is always blocking out your light, help is available. By creating a judgment-free environment that fosters safe and open communication, we’ll work together to carefully assess your or your loved one’s unique situation and develop the most effective care plan. I believe the key to addressing many unwanted feelings and behaviors lies in combining holistic and pharmacological approaches, including modifying one's environment, engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and using medications to address chemical imbalances in the brain. As your provider, I will work diligently to create a personalized medication plan that alleviates your challenges while minimizing tolerable side effects. Additionally, using evidence-based measurement tools, we can track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments along the way. I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Thoughtful Psychiatry, P.C. I provide psychotherapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of stress related conditions. As therapist and prescriber, I try to pave the way for my clients to tell their stories and feel truly understood. I strive to provide a safe environment that allows for self-expression. While diagnosis can be helpful, I believe that each individual enters treatment with a unique set of circumstances, and that it is important to focus on the needs of each individual rather than focus only on his or her symptoms. I am interested in treating patients with all types of conditions, but have a special affinity for working with clients who suffer from anxiety and trauma-related conditions. Currently, I am accepting clients primarily for medication management. Clients seeking medication management should have a therapist in place.

Many of the students can sometimes feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted—even when they’re keeping up with classes on the outside. You might notice low motivation, self-doubt, or that small things feel harder than they used to. Some students reach out during times of transition, like starting or leaving college, changing majors, questioning identity, or feeling unsure about what comes next. Others want support processing difficult past or recent experiences that still affect their mood, focus, or sense of stability. I also work with a variety of students. Some managing stress, anxiety, navigating trauma, or are managing physical or ongoing health concerns causing them to feel the emotional weight that comes with it. Balancing school, expectations, and your own well-being can be especially tough when your body isn’t cooperating. In therapy, we’ll focus on both talking things through and building practical tools you can use in daily life. Sessions are collaborative and goal-focused, helping you better understand what’s going on while also finding ways to feel more steady, confident, and supported. You don’t need to have the “right” reason to start therapy—if something feels off or heavy, that’s enough.

**Teletherapy only. My approach to therapy has a strong focus on mindfulness, self-compassion and self-care. Additionally, I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and addressing cognitive distortions when working with Anxiety and/or Depression. I utilize a very structured approach to therapy with opportunity for input and feedback.
