Warmest welcome! My name is Jacky Tse and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker. I hold Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies from University of Cambridge and Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, San Bernardino. I have more than 7 years of social service experience as educator and social worker, closely working with diverse populations including people with developmental disabilities, AAPI populations, LGBTQIA individuals, families in crisis, youths and children. My therapeutic interests include perfectionism, substance use disorder, anxiety and stress management. Having therapy with me is like embarking on an exciting adventure together. We may encounter different twists and turns, ups and downs, or highs and lows, but I will be your guide in this adventure of life. I specialize in utilizing person-centered therapy by exploring your strengths, exercising empathy and motivating for self-actualization. My practice is also LGBTQIA+ affirming through an intersectional lens, and I can conduct sessions in Cantonese and Mandarin. In my free time, I enjoy singing karaoke, spending time in nature, trying out new restaurants, watching reality TV shows and playing Pokemon.

My perspective on wellness involves the whole person. The approach I take may involve the realms of physical, psychological, emotional, and social wellness, not just the alleviation of symptoms. We, as a team will work together to ensure your goals are met. Modalities towards wellness may expand beyond the office, to include being surrounded by nature, incorporating exercise, or facing new fears together. Always, with your success in mind. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I also conduct psychological evaluations and ADHD evaluations that may help to uncover issues and guide treatment. I am a Certified ADHD Professional, and have specialities in the areas of anxiety, sports performance, and I am also a certified personal trainer. Being born and raised in Hawaii, I value aloha and family. Whether you or someone you love may be going through a difficult time, I am here to help and will welcome you with open arms, just as I would my own family. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you!

The origins of many psychotherapeutic approaches come from a Eurocentric and Male perspective. The very history of psychology as well as current diagnostic criteria are guided by Eurocentric standards. Intersectionality challenges the history of psychology, the therapeutic approaches, as well as the DSM (the therapist "bible") by encouraging a clinician to take a step back and look at all the identities that present with each and every client. Intersectionality in therapy allows for a more well rounded and appropriate form of treatment that takes into account the impact of discrimination on our emotional well being as well as the resiliency and strength that can come with our identities

Painful feeling such as anxiety or sadness and/or the disconnect from loved ones can feel overwhelming. It is difficult to find joy in life when we are struggling with one of these challenges. Therapy can be a place to consider new ways to work towards your goals, to find new sources of joy, and to reduce the experience of pain. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in the delivery of time-limited, evidence-based therapies to help you experience relief from feeling of anxiety and sadness and/or to increase closeness in your romantic relationship. In order to achieve your goals we will draw on cognitive-behavioral and emotionally-focused therapy strategies. I want you to know that there is reason to be hopeful, even when it is hard to find that hope on your own. Together we can identify a road map for working towards your goals, taking one step down the road at a time. College can be exciting, meaningful, and full of possibility. It can also be really hard. Maybe you’re trying to keep up with classes while working, navigating friendships or relationships, thinking about your future, and wondering how everyone else seems to be handling it all. You may look capable from the outside while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of yourself. I work with college students and young adults who tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves. You might overthink your decisions, worry about disappointing people, compare yourself to everyone around you, or have a hard time knowing what you actually want when there are so many expectations about what you should be doing. Therapy can be one place where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s making things hard right now while also paying attention to the patterns underneath it. We might notice how quickly you become hard on yourself, what happens when someone is disappointed in you, why it’s difficult to slow down, or how easy it is to lose sight of your own needs when you’re focused on everyone else. My approach is somatic, relational, and depth-oriented. That means we’ll talk about what’s happening in your life while also paying attention to your emotions, your body, your relationships, and the experiences that have shaped how you see yourself and move through the world. I draw from Somatic Experiencing®, NARM, and psychodynamic therapy, and we’ll move at a pace that gives you room to understand yourself without feeling like you have to get therapy “right,” too. The goal isn’t to give you all the right answers. It’s to help you better understand the patterns you’ve developed, reconnect with what matters to you, and build more trust in yourself as you make decisions about your relationships, your future, and the person you’re becoming. If you’re looking for a space where you can bring the anxiety, uncertainty, relationships, pressure, and everything else you’re trying to figure out, I’d love to connect. I offer free 15-minute consultations to talk through what you're needing support with and for us to see if we might be a good fit to work together.

My name is Jenaiah Sauceda, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Brentwood, CA. My journey in the field of mental health began with a deep-rooted passion for helping others, a value instilled in me by my family, which has a strong legacy in the helping professions. With dual Bachelor’s degrees in Women and Gender Studies and Social Work, alongside a Master’s Degree in Social Work focusing on Individuals, Families, and Groups from San Francisco State University, I have cultivated a solid foundation for my practice. Currently, I am advancing my education by pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology, with the goal of achieving this by the end of 2025. I specialize in supporting women through various challenges, including relationship issues, divorce, adoption, infertility, parenting challenges, as well as managing depression and anxiety. My approach to therapy is solution-focused, incorporating client-centered, supportive therapy, CBT, DBT, and behavior activation techniques. With a decade of experience and licensure since 2018, I have worked in diverse settings, including child welfare, adoptions, hospitals, and prisons, providing comprehensive mental health treatment. As a wife and mother who grew up in the Bay Area, I understand the complexities of life and the hurdles we all face. I believe that seeking support is a courageous step toward healing and growth. I recognize the stigma surrounding mental health and the barriers it creates, and I am committed to breaking these generational cycles. Together, we can change the narrative around mental health and foster openness and understanding. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing and growth.

I work with people in transition or who are preparing for change. Artists, actors and writers. Those in bereavement. Or who are living with a catastrophic health-related diagnosis, recent or of long duration. Caregivers. Mental health interns who need to explore their own issues in order to practice mindfully. Folks who are using substances more than they want. People who want to decrease their distress but who also have a curiosity about its sources. People who want to talk with someone about the most important thing in the world, perhaps to discover what that is. My specialty is the intuitive analysis of what is most important to you. My experience has shown me that we carry within us the answers we're looking for. My skill is in eliciting these answers and reflecting them back to you so you recognize them. I've been trained in Depth psychology, Narrative psychology and Cognitive Behavior therapy, in dream analysis and evidence-based practices like Seeking Safety. In addition to private practice I've directed multiple community mental health and recovery programs, as well as provided training and clinical supervision to new therapists.

I have been a therapist since 2004 working in both private and group practice with adults and children before joining with Kaiser Permanente psychiatry in 2012, recently returned to sole private practice in 2021. I earned my clinical social work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, which was awarded a top 5 ranking in the field. I additionally have completed post-graduate studies at University of Virginia Mary Ainsworth Clinic and American School of Clinical Psychology in Washington DC. While I enjoy use of various therapy methods, including CBT and ACT to treat anxiety and depression, I have a particular passion in the use of EMDR for trauma and stress disorders. I consider myself very privileged to have trained with and sought consultation with Andrew Leeds, who is an EMDRIA board member and foundational researcher in the field. .Many of my clients have reported this technique to be a fast and highly effective treatment that they wish they had considered sooner. Please feel free to look over the links regarding the high-effectiveness of EMDR and to reach me with any questions. Additionally, I have extensive expertise in the area of dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) another great therapy style that I can strongly recommend, I was very fortunate to be part of a 2012 Ben Hudnell Grant to develop a DBT program for Kaiser Permanente’s Psychiatry Department, initially at the Washington DC clinic and then later heading the program for KP Psychiatry in Pleasanton, CA; running these programs from 2015-2021. I find the coping skills taught in DBT to be essential, not only for reducing suffering and problem behaviors, but for helping to create a life worth living. While DBT was initially developed to assist those with Borderline Personality Disordered traits, it has broadened to include helping those looking to manage with mood swings, anger, relationship problems, binge eating, bipolar disorders, anxiety and depression, as well as assisting those is continuing recovery from addictions. I especially recommend DBT for those who struggle with anger or shutting down, as relationship dynamics are really where difficult can present. I teach both basic DBT and advanced practice, whether your new to process or experienced I am happy to support your process in session. There is the hope to include group education and process, in the future, pandemic needs permitting. I see my clients online via secure telehealth on Mondays and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays are available for in-person for those full-vaccinated and without COVID exposure concerns. You may schedule a free 20-minute telehealth consult via website below.
